Prior to the game all fans were treated to a “Taste of The Triangle” pre-game festivities, which featured great food from over 40 restaurants all throughout the Triangle. A half-hour before game time approached, thunderstorms, and rain soaked the field. Bulls Continue 4-Game Skid, fall to MudHens 5-4
A week ago the Durham Bulls were riding an impressive 4-game winning streak, their second longest streak in this young season. The Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees rode into town and after dropping the first two evened the series by capturing the last two games. On Monday night the Bulls turned back the clock by hosting their first game in front of nearly 4,000 on hand at the old but recently refurbished Durham Athletic Park. The Toledo MudHens opened the series and this piece of history by going yard twice, led by Clete Thomas crushing HR en route to a 6-2 series opening decision.

BULLS 8 GAME WIN STREAK IS STOPPED
The Durham Bulls headed into Saturday Night’s division showdown against the Gwinnett Braves riding an 8-game winning streak. Defending their 2009 Triple-A Crown with a franchise best 13-2 start proved pivotal in a game where the lead went back and forth until the Bulls were unable to pull it out in an 8-7 decision. Bulls centerfielder Justin Ruggiano started the scoring barrage by launching one over the Blue Monster for his second HR in consecutive games and an early 1-0 lead.

DURHAM BULLS TOP CHARLOTTE KNIGHTS
The Durham Bulls returned home to the DBAP Wednesday April 21st, to kick-off their current six-game home stand facing the Charlotte Knights. So far this season, the Bulls have showed their fans glimpses of how they captured the Triple A Crown in 2009, with timely hitting, excellent defense, pitching, and the will to stay in the fight. In the opening inning, after Bulls centerfielder Desmond Jennings swiped two bases, the threat began with two on and former Texas Rangers stalwart Hank Blalock coming to the dish, pulverized one over the Wachovia sign in deep right for a 3-0 lead.
